A little HTC rebuild update…

Under the cover of darkness tonight the front face has been rebuilt and the signs are back on. We’re still one sign short after a local oxygen thief decided it would look better somewhere else and tore off all the signs. The flags also continue to be “borrowed” within a day by Lyall’s aspiring interior decorators.

We even installed solar lighting so HTC could be a beacon of goodwill for ships passing and those enjoying the bay at night. It lasted three days before the local kickers found it, broke it and took a bunch of useless lights with no solar panels attached bach to their sailers graves.

No matter. The bar top gets rebuilt next fine weekend and we’ll be ready for Spring into Lyall.

The funny thing about people who only know how to destroy is that every time they knock HTC back, we rebuild it better.

HTC isn’t going anywhere. We imagine a world where fun is appreciated and left for people to enjoy.

We’re going to war… with better bar attitudes. 🍻🤙

🌊 BIG NEWS, HTC Fams! 🏖️

The High Tide Club has officially expanded to Foxton Beach!

You’ll now find our newest “clubrooms” about 400 metres north of the Foxton Surf Life Saving Club if you’re ever in town.

This is a huge milestone and another step towards our long-term vision…

An HTC on every sandy shore of Aotearoa. 🇳🇿

Membership is still free. Good people, good beaches, good vibes. See you at high tide! 🌊

Gun slinging for the structural integrity team tomorrow.

09/06/2026

The steel resolve of The H.T.C. has never been stronger. We’ve weathered another storm. The French have gone on strike & the baguettes have been packed away, the winds have eased, and once again we’ve emerged salty, smiling, and slightly overconfident.

Now it’s pura vida time. We warmly welcome Costa Rica as our next host nation. So wax up the boards, dust off the passports, and prepare for an entirely reasonable amount of tropical optimism.

As always, the High Tide Club remains committed to its founding principles: community, resilience, and standing together through hell or high water.

High Tide today: 12:08pm 🌊🏄‍♂️🍻🌴

Are we ready! Yes we are. The bar is open all hours. The structural integrity team had a precautionary fettle this afternoon. We are as prepared as we could be. High tide puku pie at the high tide tomorrow at 11:20 be the go.

Mexico was a brilliant host nation but sadly didn’t survive the storm… and in a dramatic turn of events, the HTC Host Nation has officially changed hands 🇲🇽➡️🇫🇷

Following a highly questionable but entirely decisive process France has assumed control of the High Tide Club shoreline.

Immediate policy changes include:

* Ch*****ne replaced tequila at 3pm today
* Beach attire upgraded to “effortlessly dishevelled”.
* A pétanque court has been approved, despite no one knowing the rules
* Shrugging now replaces all conflict resolution

The HTC remains open to all members (everyone).

Vive la HTC 🇫🇷🌊

Lazer Kiwi served the beach well …but we now introduce Viva La Mexico 🇲🇽. Rain and Southerlies on the way. “ Holiday”and “warm” ….are a mindset.
