Alas most of the Faerie Bush Walk has been blocked by fallen trees. You can only get half a dozen doors along the track from either end before huge totara trees stop you in your tracks. At the base of this fallen tree you can see one of the Faerie Doors. There’s at least a year’s work to clear the mess left by recent storms. So the Faerie Bush Walk is closed until further notice.

Perhaps it's their chirpy little voices calling a cheerful greeting to the listening bush ...

Or it might be their innocent curiosity that draws them so close that they offer brief glimpses of friendship ...

When you walk through the gates and down the track~
You mostly just hear yourself
Your feet crunching
Your voice chattering
Your presence overwhelming

But there's this thing about the bush that I think you should know ~
the stiller YOU are •••
the louder IT is!

So ~
slow it down,
like almost stationary
turn it down,
mute will do just fine

Then and only then
will the bush come to you
and welcome you
and truly refresh you.

Well that's how it is at Archie's Place.
