🔥 Te ‘Ori Auahi

As my tupuna (ancestors) used to tell it…

Before the sun went to sleep over Tahiti Nui, the elders would dance around the sacred *auahi* (fire), communing with the spirits through the flames. The poi ahi (flaming implement) recounted the courage of the toa (warrior)—purified by fire and borne by the mana (spiritual power) of the ancestors.

Tonight, the flames speak once more.
