Meet Mamot ❤️🐾
Mamot grew up with Beachcamp.
When Beachcamp was just beginning, Mamot was still a young puppy. As the resort grew, so did he. Through the years, he has become one of the most familiar and loved faces on the beach.
Mamot is a Belgian Malinois, a breed that many people find intimidating at first. But anyone who spends a little time with him quickly discovers how friendly, gentle, and loving he really is.
Growing up surrounded by guests, Mamot learned to trust people. He loves greeting visitors, joining beach walks, and making new friends. Many guests return asking about him, and some even say seeing Mamot again is one of the highlights of their visit.
For us, he is more than just a dog. He is Beachcamp's mascot, our unofficial lifeguard, and a beloved member of our family.
That is why it was heartbreaking to see him hurt last week.
Mamot has spent his whole life trusting people, so when he follows someone, it is because he believes they are his friend.
Unfortunately, that trust was met with harm. They saw someone hurting him, trying to hit him, that left us asking a simple question: why hurt a dog whose only intention has ever been to love and be loved?
Despite everything, Mamot still greets people with a wagging tail. He still waits by the beach. He still believes that people are kind.
We are sharing this because animals cannot speak for themselves. They feel pain. They feel fear. They also feel love, loyalty, and trust.
Please be kind to animals. A friendly dog is not an invitation to mistreat him. Respect their trust and treat them with the same kindness they freely give us.
Mamot is now fine, surrounded by the people who love him most. And as always, he will be here at Beachcamp, waiting to welcome old friends and make new ones.
❤️🐾 We know many of you love Mamot. Your messages, visits, and support mean the world to him and to us.
