🏆 GENSAN HONORS TOURISM CHAMPIONS, PUSHES DATA-DRIVEN GROWTH AT INSIGNIA AWARDS 2025

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The City Tourism Office under the LGU-GenSan - City Economic Management and Cooperative Development Office (CEMCDO) recognized the city’s top tourism stakeholders during the Tourism Insignia Awards 2025 held May 12 at Avior Hotel.

The annual awards honor Tourism-Related Establishments (TREs) that consistently submit monthly tourist statistical data—an initiative that helps strengthen data-driven tourism planning, policy development, and investment promotion in General Santos City.

Eliodoro Y. Alcaya Jr., City Tourism Officer, commended tourism stakeholders for their continued compliance and participation.

Meanwhile, Joey John Concepcion, Executive Assistant to **Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao, delivered the mayor’s message and thanked tourism establishments for supporting the city’s tourism initiatives.

The city also aims to achieve a 10% increase in compliant tourism-related establishments, further strengthening General Santos’ position as a rising tourism and investment destination in Mindanao.
