For 9 meaningful years, Shiela has been part of the SunCity Suites family, building a career marked by growth, resilience, and dedication.
Her journey at SunCity Suites began as an Agency Coordinator for almost four months before transitioning into the role of Cafรฉ Supervisor for a short period. Later, she embraced a new opportunity and transferred to the Finance Department, where she found her long-term path and continued to grow professionally as a Purchasing Officer. Each role became a stepping stone that shaped her into the employee and person she is today.
Before becoming part of SunCity Suites, she started her professional journey shortly after graduation as an Office Secretary in a farming products company. She later expanded her experience in the field of sales as a Sales Associate at the Sun Cellular/SMART Satellite Branch. These early roles helped build the discipline, adaptability, and work ethic that she continues to carry today.
Looking back, she shares that SunCity Suites played a significant role in her personal and professional transformation. She describes herself as once being shy, easily affected by stress, and lacking confidence. Through years of challenges, learning experiences, and adapting to different responsibilities, she became stronger, more confident, and more responsible. Working across different departments taught her flexibility, patience, teamwork, discipline, and leadership.
As a Purchasing Officer, she takes pride in contributing to the company by carrying out her responsibilities with dedication, integrity, and professionalism. Through maintaining good relationships with suppliers, ensuring smooth coordination across departments, and staying committed to learning and improvement, she believes that every small effort contributes to the bigger success of the organization.
Beyond work, family remains her greatest source of strength. Coming from a family of five as the eldest daughter, she has always carried a deep sense of responsibility and love for her parents. Their well-being has always motivated her to work harder and strive for more.
Today, she is blessed with a family of her own. She is a proud mother of two sonsโone who continues to fill their home with joy and growth, and another who now rests peacefully with the Almighty God. Together with her supportive husband, who continues to provide strength and support for their family, she remains grateful and hopeful through every season of life.
During her rest days, she embraces her most meaningful roleโbeing a mother. She spends her time cleaning, organizing, preparing special meals, watching movies, and creating memorable moments with her family. For her, caring for them is not a responsibilityโit is one of her greatest joys and her way of making every moment together count.
When asked what she values most about SunCity Suites, her answer comes from appreciation and gratitude. One of the biggest reasons she continues to stay is the kindness, understanding, and genuine care shown by the owners and managementโespecially during difficult seasons. She deeply appreciates how employees are recognized not only for their work, but also valued as people with personal responsibilities and families to care for.
She especially remembers how, during challenging seasons like the pandemic, employees continued to receive support and understanding. As a working parent, being given compassion and flexibility when needed became something she will always treasure. For her, SunCity Suites became more than a workplaceโit became a second home.
To new employees and fellow team members, she shares this advice: continue working hard and fulfill your responsibilities with sincerity and dedication. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11:

This verse reminds her to trust Godโs timing and guidance, believing that even through lifeโs challenges, His plans always lead toward hope, purpose, and a brighter future.
