FIRST WEDNESDAY DEVOTION TO OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL HELPπŸ™ β”‚ September 2, 2026

On this First Wednesday of September, we once again turn our hearts toward Our Mother of Perpetual Help, trusting in her loving intercession and placing ourselves beneath her motherly care. β€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

There are moments in life when we do not know where to turn. There are prayers we struggle to put into words, burdens we carry silently, and worries that keep us awake at night. Sometimes, all we can do is come before God with a humble heart and say, β€œLord, help me.”

And in those moments, we remember our Blessed Mother.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help is the Mother who never tires of bringing us closer to her Son, Jesus. She does not take the place of Christ; rather, she lovingly leads us to Him. With a mother's tenderness, she reminds us to trust, to persevere, and to never lose hope in God's mercy.

Today, let us place before her all that weighs heavily upon our hearts. πŸ™πŸ»

Bring to her your family and loved ones, your health, your work, your studies, your financial struggles, your dreams, your fears, and the prayers you have been carrying for so long. Entrust to her the people who have lost their way, those who are suffering, those who are grieving, and those who feel forgotten or alone.

Perhaps there is a prayer you have been asking God for again and again. Perhaps you have begun to wonder if He still hears you.

Do not lose heart.

God hears every prayer, even the prayers that come through tears, silence, and a trembling heart. Our Blessed Mother knows what it means to wait, to trust, and to remain faithful even when God's plan is not yet clear.

As we look upon the image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, may we also remember the Child Jesus in her arms. He is our hope. He is our refuge. He is the One who gives meaning to every suffering and strength to every weary soul.

Mother of Perpetual Help, teach us to trust Jesus more deeply.
When we are afraid, hold us close to your Son.
When we are discouraged, remind us that God is near.
When we are tempted to give up, strengthen our faith.
When we have sinned, lead us back to the mercy of Christ.
When our hearts are troubled, teach us to surrender everything into God's loving hands.

May we never be ashamed to run to our Heavenly Mother, especially in our moments of greatest need.

Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for our families.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for those who are suffering.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for the sick and the dying.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for those who have lost hope.
Our Mother of Perpetual Help, lead us always closer to Jesus. β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ™πŸ»

On this First Wednesday, may we not only ask for blessings and favors, but also ask for the grace to accept God's will, remain faithful in trials, forgive others, and trust His timing.

Whatever you are facing today, place it in the hands of Jesus through Mary.

She is our Mother of Perpetual Help, and her loving heart continually points us toward the One who will never abandon us.

🌹 Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us and bring us always closer to your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen. πŸ™πŸ»

Happy First Wednesday Devotion!
May the loving mantle of Our Mother of Perpetual Help cover you and your family today and always. ❀️‍πŸ”₯

Today is the feast day of Saint Monica, patron saint of mothers, wives, and difficult marriages. πŸ™

Saint Monica knew the pain of a troubled marriage and a divided home. Her husband, Patricius, was known for his temper and infidelity, yet Monica remained steadfast in prayer, patience, and faith. Before his death, he converted to Christianity.

She also prayed for years for the conversion of her son, Saint Augustine, who would become one of the greatest saints and Doctors of the Church.

If your marriage is struggling, or someone you love has fallen away from the Faith, ask Saint Monica to intercede.

Saint Monica, pray for our marriages, our children, and our families.
