A glimpse of a milestone celebration with a story that began right here at The Manila Hotel.

Cathay Pacific marked its 80th anniversary at the Maynila Ballroom, celebrating eight decades of journeys, connections, and memories.

A highlight of the evening was the unveiling of a commemorative marker honoring the airlineโ€™s historic connection to The Manila Hotel, where its name was reportedly coined in 1946 at the former Tropicana Bar.

The momentous unveiling was graced by Atty. Joey Lina, President of The Manila Hotel, together with Cathay Pacific executives Lavinia Lau, Chief Customer & Commercial Officer; Vivian Lo, Director Customer Lifestyle; Aldric Chau, Regional General Manager, Southeast Asia & Oceania; Vishnu Rajendran, Country Head, Philippines; and Minister Counselor Zhou Zhiyong, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China in the Philippines.
