The NUWHRAIN National Executive Board Meeting was held on August 25–26, 2026 at Club Punta Fuego, Nasugbu, Batangas.

Before the meeting, our delegates joined the program and kamustahan with the striking workers of the DHL Employees Union (DUWU) at the picket line in Muntinlupa, reaffirming our solidarity and commitment to workers’ rights and welfare.

ANG LABAN NG DHL UNITED WORKERS UNION (DUWU)–WSN–SENTRO AY LABAN PARA SA KARAPATAN NG BAWAT MANGGAGAWA NA MAGKAROON NG BOSES.

Kasama ng DHL United Workers Union (DUWU)–WSN–SENTRO, nakikiisa ang NUWHRAIN sa paninindigan laban sa union busting at sa pagtatanggol sa mga batayang karapatan ng manggagawa—freedom of association, the right to organize, at the right to bargain collectively.

Sa picket line, hindi lamang isang unyon ang ating nakikita. Nariyan ang mga manggagawang naninindigan na ang kanilang karapatang mag-organisa at makipagtawaran nang sama-sama ay hindi dapat patahimikin, pahinain, o ipagkait.

At bilang mga manggagawa sa industriya, alam natin kung gaano kalaki ang kapalit kapag nawawala ang seguridad sa trabaho. Naranasan ito ng ating mga kapatid na manggagawa sa Sofitel nang magsara ang hotel, at ng marami pang manggagawang naapektuhan ng pagsasara at pagbabago ng operasyon ng kanilang mga kumpanya.

Kaya narito ang NUWHRAIN,
kasama ng DUWU, kasama ng mga manggagawa.

Dahil ang laban para sa collective bargaining ay hindi lamang laban para sa isang CBA. Ito ay laban para sa boses, dignidad, at kinabukasang may katiyakan para sa manggagawa at sa kanyang pamilya.

DHL: THE RIGHT TO ORGANIZE MUST BE RESPECTED. COLLECTIVE BARGAINING MUST BE HONORED.

Kapag ang karapatan ng isa ay ipinaglaban, lahat ng manggagawa ay may dahilan upang manindigan.

Makakaasa kayong kasama niyo kami at patuloy na tutulong sa laban na ito mga kapatid dahil ang laban ng DUWU ay laban ng Lahat✊🏼

NUWHRAIN stands with workers in the fight to protect the ₱85 wage increase.

NUWHRAIN joined Akbayan Party-list, and other fellow labor federations at the Supreme Court (SC) to seek action on the TRO delaying the implementation of Wage Order No. NCR-27.

As one of the signatories, NUWHRAIN joined the submission of a request letter to the SC, through its Judicial Integrity Office, seeking an administrative evaluation of the orders issued by the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) and the circumstances surrounding the TRO.

For workers, the ₱85 increase means much-needed support for daily living amid rising prices and continuing hardships.

NUWHRAIN remains committed to protecting workers’ rights and advancing decent wages.

Hotel Workers-NUWHRAIN All-Star Basic Membership Training Course ✊🏼

Here are more highlights from the recently held NUWHRAIN All-Star Basic Membership Training Course, where union members and leaders came together for two days of learning, discussion, and meaningful interaction.

NUWHRAIN Deputy Secretary Marco Gojol welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of understanding workers’ rights, the role of the union, and the responsibilities of union members.

The activity aimed to deepen members’ awareness and understanding of unionism and their rights as workers, while providing an opportunity to build camaraderie and foster solidarity among members from different local chapters.

Held on August 6–7, 2026 at Sapphire B, Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria, the training brought together members and representatives from the participating NUWHRAIN chapters.

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: NUWHRAIN joins the filing of a Motion for Intervention opposing the TRO on the ₱85 wage increase in NCR, reaffirming its commitment to defend workers’ rights and support a just wage increase for all.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥!

Lawmakers from Akabayan Partylist urged the Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) to lift its issuance of a temporary restraining order (TRO) on the mandated wage increase for workers in the National Capital Region, warning that such a decision set a “dangerous precedent” when it came to worker’s rights.

Akbayan Partylist representatives Perci Cendana and Dadah Ismula carried out separate interventions to echo the public’s call to not only question, but to reverse the decision of the RTC as it impacted numerous Filipinos that are attempting to make a living in Metro Manila. | Jerod Orcullo
