Pampanga is #1 trending Airbnb destination for search interest in 2026, specifically driven by a massive surge from Gen Z and family travelers. Data released by Airbnb reveals that Pampanga topped the list of local destinations experiencing the highest growth in domestic search interest. The highest concentration of search volume occurred during the summer break (April to June).
Domestic search interest among Gen Z Filipinos grew by nearly 25% overall. However, Pampanga and Davao City led the pack, tying for the strongest localized growth with a near 50% increase in searches compared to the previous year.
Pampanga also recorded the strongest rise in family-oriented search interest at over 40%, outperforming traditional hotspots like Metro Manila and Tagaytay.
Industry analysts note that a weaker appetite for international spending has pushed younger and family travelers toward highly accessible, driving-distance getaways. Pampanga's booming culinary reputation, its abundance of large private pool villas, and popular staycation hubs like Azure North in San Fernando have made it the premier choice for quick group getaways.
