Halfway through our fifth year, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the journey of Shorebreak Hostel and Billie’s Coffee + Kitchen.

When we started, our goal was simple: to create spaces that feel welcoming, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. Every corner of Shorebreak Hostel was thoughtfully designed in collaboration with J+A Architects, bringing our vision of a timeless space to life.

As hands-on owners, we’re still the same people you’ll see around the property, checking rooms, helping guests, supporting our team, and making sure everything runs smoothly day after day.

Running a business comes with its challenges, but the most rewarding part has always been meeting our guests, welcoming familiar faces back, and reading the countless 5-star reviews and heartfelt messages we receive. Knowing that we’ve created a place where people feel at home makes all the hard work worthwhile.

To everyone who has stayed with us, dined with us, supported us, and shared our story, thank you. Your support has made this journey possible.
