OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION STATEMENT
PAHAYAHAY CAFE
Good day and Mabuhay, everyone.
We, the management of Pahayahay Cafe, would like to clarify the recent post circulating on social media regarding the mistreatment of a Mama dog and her three puppies.
First, the Mama dog mentioned in the post is our own dog, named Mina, whom we have cared for for almost seven years. We are also animal owners, we have four dogs and eight cats.
We would like to clarify that the gun mentioned in the post is not an ai***ft gun but a gel blaster. We deny the allegation that we intentionally hurt Mina or the other animals. We understand the concern of those who saw the incident, but we hope everyone will also allow us the opportunity to explain our side before drawing conclusions.
About Mina’s physical condition, she has had multiple pregnancies, which we believe may have contributed to her being underweight. As for her behavior, those who are familiar with her know that she can sometimes become aggressive and bite when approached. She also repeatedly returns to our customers, which is why we have attempted to manage the situation.
We also have 24/7 CCTV cameras in our establishment. We are willing to review the footage to provide a clearer understanding of what happened. Anyone who wants to clarify the matter may also send us a message so we can discuss the incident properly and respectfully.
Furthermore, we have already communicated with the individuals involved in the circulating post. Based on our understanding of the incident and our side of the story, we believe that the allegations made against us are false and do not accurately represent the situation.
We are open to feedback because we understand that concerns about animal welfare should always be taken seriously. We are also willing to cooperate and accept responsibility should any legitimate wrongdoing be established.
However, we respectfully ask everyone to be mindful when sharing accusations online. We encourage everyone to seek clarification first and hear both sides of the story before making public judgments that could affect a person’s reputation and livelihood.
We have no intention of arguing with anyone or creating further conflict. Our only purpose in making this statement is to CLARIFY the situation and ensure that the public hears our side as well.
