A balyiran / butanding or whale shark (Rhincodon typus), the largest fish in the ocean, was accidentally trapped earlier today, May 13, 2026 (Wednesday), at the JECA Lambaklad Fishing in Tibiao, Antique.

Tourists from Boracay witnessed the safe release of the gentle giant shortly after, thanks to the quick response and care of the local fishermen. 🙏🐟

This rare encounter serves as a reminder of the importance of protecting marine wildlife and preserving Antique’s rich coastal ecosystem for future generations. 🌎💙
