Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI) hosted a high-level Round Table Conference on Strengthening Industry–Academia Linkages and Technology Commercialization, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), bringing together representatives from HEC, industry, ORICs, and academia to explore practical measures for stronger collaboration, applied research, and technology transfer.

The discussion focused on HEC’s Draft Joint Research Framework and Model Agreements, with key deliberations on university–industry partnerships, the role of ORICs, intellectual property, confidentiality, publication, licensing, and commercialization.
