This coming weekend, we will be showcasing our brands at the North West Audioshow. 2026 is the 10th anniversary of our first appearance at NWAS, and we have been at every one since that 2016 debut. This year, once again, we will be in both the Bell Suite and Room 121, allowing us to have two systems running and playing music throughout the weekend.
Bell Suite
In the Bell Suite, we have the Hegel H600, D50 DAC, Amphion Krypton 3X, AudiomicaConsequence cables, MusicWorks power products, and MusicWorks AcouPlex isolation products.
The H600 and D50 are a powerful combination, driving pretty much any loudspeaker you care to hook them up to. Along with seemingly endless power, the combination manages to convey the subtle nuances of a performance in a way very few amplifier/DAC combos can.
The Amphion Krypton 3X loudspeakers are one of the bargains of the hi-fi world. Yes, they are £21,000, but they perform far better than that price suggests. The step up in performance from the previous 3S model is quite something, and a lot of that development has now been utilised in the recently released Argon X models. The Krypton 3X are large, so they deliver the scale that only a loudspeaker of this size can, but they can also portray a small, intimate performance with a dexterity that belies their size. Hegel and Amphion are a superb match at every level, and this system certainly confirms that claim.
Audiomica has been our cable of choice for over 15 years now, even before Auden Distribution was created. The cables still handle music by simply getting out of the way in a manner we have not heard from other brands we have tried. In this system, we are using the Consequence range.
MusicWorks has provided the power products for our systems for as long as we can remember. In this system, we are using the G5XL block, ReEntry, and ReVive Ultra power cables. We are also strong advocates of AcouPlex, the isolation material developed by MusicWorks, and will be using it throughout the system. You will spot it under the electronics and loudspeakers, and we are also using the new CLAM cable damper for the first time. Audiomica and MusicWorks are fundamental to extracting the most out of the fabulous products we are showcasing.
Along with Hegel, Amphion, and Audiomica, our Egglestonworks loudspeakers will be on display, including the Viginti and Andra 5. They are not on demonstration this time, but we love them, so we have to bring them.
Room 121
In Room 121, we have a more modest but equally exciting system on demonstration. The Hegel H150 is gaining a strong reputation as a great all-in-one amplifier. With a built-in DAC, streamer, MM phono stage, Qobuz connect, TIDAL Connect, Spotify Connect, and Roon Ready, along with the Hegel control app, it pretty much has everything. Just like in the Bell Suite system, we are pairing this with Amphion; we are showing it with the Argon 1, and Argon 3X. Demonstrating you can have a super musical system without the need to sell a kidney, this room is always very popular, and I expect it to be again this year. Audiomica Red Series cables and MusicWorks power products will be used in this system.
Two great systems and two days full of music: not a bad way to spend a weekend. Hopefully, you can join us for at least some of it.
