This mural brings together some of the symbols that connect me most deeply to Vieques: the horses that roam freely across the island, Puerto Rico’s tropical flowers, the Puerto Ferro Lighthouse, the waterfront with its sailboats, and the silhouette of Puerto Rico seen from Vieques.
Through flat color, organic forms, and a panoramic composition, the work constructs a visual memory of place, situated between observation, daily experience, and the island’s identity.🌺🌴🌊💕
