The property is accessed up two steps and along a walkway terrace, which is illuminated at night by solar lights, you enter the building up another step and through your own private doorway.
Entry brings you into a large open plan living, dining, kitchen space. This generous space comfortably accommodates 5 people, whether cooking in the well equipped kitchen, watching TV, sitting at the dining table or lounging near the wood burning fire. The space has the advantage of a vaulted ceiling, giving it a bright and airy feel, which is enhanced by a suspended light fitting that was hand crafted by your host.
The kitchen is very well appointed, making it suitable for guests who are cooking enthusiasts.
There is a 4 ring stove top, fan oven/grill with a rotisserie feature, microwave, toaster, kettle, filter coffee machine, fridge freezer and a dishwasher.
For food prep there are numerous pans, baking dishes, baking trays, a cake tin, serving dishes, mixing bowls, measuring jugs, a hand blender, weighing scales, cheese grater, several chopping boards and knives.
We provide a starter supply of ground coffee, teas, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
From the communal area, along a corridor - which features one of the animal feeders from when the building was a functional barn - you first arrive at the single bedroom, with a 90cm wide bed, that could also be used as an office space or day bed quiet relaxation area. There is a wardrobe with hangers and a bedside light.
Next along the corridor is the master bedroom, with a 150cm wide king size bed. There is a large, restored wooden wardrobe with hangers, bedside lights and bedside tables.
At the end of the corridor is the bunk bedroom, with 2 sturdy 90cm wide beds, suitable for adults or children, the top bunk is easily accessed by a bespoke angled step ladder. There is a wardrobe with hangers, a chair and bedside lights.
All the bedrooms have black out blinds.
All beds are fitted with hotel quality thick mattresses.
Across from the bedrooms is a generous sized bathroom, with a large shower area, toilet, wash basin and vanity unit, plus wall mounted storage shelves for all your toiletries and suncream.
We provide eco-friendly products for the bathroom and a set of towels for each guest.
All the windows and the entrance door are fitted with flyscreens.
Outside the barn the terrace extends to a large patio area with a built-in BBQ, a small under counter fridge, 6-seater dining table with chairs, 2 sun loungers, an outdoor light and power point. All these are for the exclusive use of barn guests.
Adjacent to the terrace is a wood store for the guests’ indoor wood burning stove.
There is a very good Wi-Fi signal in the barn, suitable for remote working and video conferences.
For those travelling with young children. On request, we can provide a travel cot (without bedding or mattress) children's plates, bowls, cups, tippy beakers, cutlery and plug socket covers.
