We welcome you to join your hosts Aldo and Sarah at Arrifana Surf Lodge for a more personal surfing experience. We are dedicated to bringing you awesome surf tuition, great food, comfy sleeping quarters, a relaxed atmosphere, and a whole lot of fun!!! At Arrifana Surf Lodge we really are "A HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!"

We operate a chalet style vibe with your hosts on hand throughout every day to ensure you the best possible time!!! There are never more than 10 surfers staying in the lodge at anyone time ensuring a relaxing stay with plenty of space to unwind and relax after a day in the surf! We offer an all inclusive beginner, intermediate, & advanced surfing package! Private, semi-private or group surf lessons, and we have now incorporated the go - pro underwater video camera into our lessons to offer full video analysis! Arrifana Surf Lodge offers Algarve holidays, perfect for all year round surf holidays for the beginner surfer and experienced surfer alike!! Located only 100km from faro and 3 km from Arrifana beach we are centrally located to within a short ride to all of the best surfing beaches in the Algarve, including: Monte Clerigo, Amoreira, and of course, Arrifana Beach. We are just a short drive to the historical town of Aljezur, with its many great local restaurants, wonderful fresh food markets and historic castle! All our instructors are FPS qualified and are certified lifeguards.

Some people fall in love with Arrifana, and some people fall in love at Arrifana! 🌊🤙
waterman and T I E U C O N G U Y E N’s story began ten years ago, in the summer of 2016.

Glen first came to surf with us at just 14 years old and returned to Arrifana every summer since. After a brief stint as a volunteer, he spent the whole summer of 2016 with us as a surf instructor. Little did he know that summer would change his life forever.

It was during that summer that the wonderful Tieuco came to surf with us. Their paths crossed at the surf lodge, where they first laid eyes on each other, and, well… the rest is history! ❤️

Fast forward ten years, and a couple of weeks ago, these two tied the knot on the stunning Portuguese coast. We were absolutely stoked when they asked us to be part of their celebrations by giving their wedding party a surf lesson!

There’s something really special about seeing a story that began here grow into something so beautiful. It’s been a true honour to play a small part in their journey and to watch their love story unfold over the past decade.

Glen and Tieuco, we wish you a lifetime of love, happiness, adventure and waves. Thank you for letting a little piece of Arrifana be part of your story. We hope to see you both back here again very soon! ❤️🌊

Another sunrise in Arrifana. Another day chasing waves. 🌅🌊

The vans are loaded, the wetsuits are half on, someone’s still waking up and Aldo’s already thinking about the waves 😂

Down the winding roads to Praia da Arrifana, watching the sun come up over the cliffs before paddling out. Not a bad way to start the day, is it? 🤙

A few wipeouts, plenty of laughs and a crew that somehow gets out of bed and does it all again tomorrow.

This is Arrifana Surf Lodge. Early starts, salty hair, sandy vans and absolutely no rush to leave. 🏄‍♂️

Nothing beats spending the day chasing sick waves, then kicking back in the evening with the whole crew, reliving the best rides, laughing at the wipeouts and swapping stories from the sea. 😂🏄‍♂️
