Ilha da Fuseta → Armona beach walk 🌊
Ideal in autumn and spring

In autumn and spring the temperatures are great for a long beach walk by the sea. The sun is mild, the beaches are quiet and the light is softer.

The beach walk is a long, open stretch of white sand, wide and untouched, with the Atlantic beside you. You hardly meet anyone along the way. Perfect for a peaceful walk by the sea.

Your day, step by step:

⛴️ Fuseta harbour → Ilha da Fuseta (8 minutes by ferry)
🚶 Ilha da Fuseta → Ilha da Armona (+/- 6.5 km along the beach)
🍽️ Lunch in the village of Armona
⛴️ Armona → Olhão (25 minutes by ferry)
🏙️ A wander through Olhão’s old town and marina
🚆 Olhão → Fuseta by train (or Uber), and back to Celebra a Vida Resort

With the boat ride and a stop in Olhão, a beach walk turns into a full day trip.

Our newest fun beach accessory: flip flop towel clips 🩴

Next to the beach towels and coolbag, you can now use our clips to keep your towels in place on your sunbed.

This summer, guests were using our clothes pegs for this. We thought it was very handy. A month later, other guests showed us the fun flip flop clips they had bought on a previous holiday. We immediately knew it would be a fun addition here too.

October is a great time to play golf here. Sunny days, comfortable temperatures and beautiful courses to discover.

Friends who had stayed at Celebra a Vida Resort before had already given us a taste of what to expect, but this is truly hosting NEXT LEVEL!

The resort looks beautiful and impeccably kept, with a lovely garden, a wonderful pool and so much more. In the apartments, they’ve truly thought of everything. They are clean, spacious and equipped with every comfort. An absolute bonus is the large, beautiful terrace, where you can enjoy breakfast in the morning and end the day with a drink in the evening.

With Serge and Astrid, you feel welcome from minute one. It starts with the emails from the moment you book: the friendliness and personal attention leap off the page. The cherry on top was the email asking: “How would you like to sleep?” Can it get any more personal? 😊

On arrival, they take plenty of time to show you around the resort and explain everything. During our stay, our host and hostess also surprised us twice with delicious treats. Truly great!

Thanks to all the lovely tips from the owners, there is so much to discover in Fuseta and the surrounding area. Fuseta is a small, characterful Portuguese fishing village with a cosy village square and nice little restaurants. The ferry takes you across to Ilha da Fuseta, with its beautiful beaches that are perfect for a lovely walk.

In short: are you looking for a small-scale resort with excellent facilities and wonderful personal service? Then Celebra a Vida is absolutely the place to be!

We’ll definitely be back, and maybe even enjoy everything Celebra a Vida has to offer twice as much ❤️

Salt harvest time in the Ria Formosa, near Fuseta.

It starts with seawater flowing into shallow pans. Sun and wind do the rest: the water evaporates and the salt crystallises, layer by layer, until it’s ready to be collected.

The pace is set by the weather, not the clock. It has worked like this here for generations.
