💛For six years, José Augusto has been returning to Nest. This time, while I was busy in the kitchen, he quietly took care of the reception and welcomed our guests with his usual kindness.

Vieram de Borborema, no Brasil, trazendo nos olhos uma fé antiga, dessas que atravessam oceanos e gerações.
Enquanto conversávamos à porta da casa, falou-se de Teresa Preta, a bisavó portuguesa que ficou viva na memória da família como uma raiz que nunca morreu.
E, naquele instante, um deles disse sentir aqui a presença da minha bisavó Josefina.

Talvez seja isso o Caminho.
As almas reconhecem-se antes das pessoas. Os vivos chegam de mochila às costas… e os que partiram caminham silenciosamente ao nosso lado. 🤍🙏🌿

Tomás arrived at Ninho Albergue carrying much more than a backpack.
Like so many pilgrims, he carried loss, exhaustion, memories, survival.
He told me pieces of his story with a huge smile on his face and tears quietly waiting in his eyes. That strange mixture only people who have truly suffered seem to know.

I looked at him and thought: life has already been serious enough with this man.
So I gave him the yellow bird hat from Ninho.

He laughed. A real laugh. The kind that saves people for a moment.

And he promised me:
“When I arrive in Santiago, I’ll wear it and send you a photo.”

Well… he did.
And honestly, this picture says everything.

Tonight, my kitchen had a very special helper 💛
Constantino, a 5-year-old pilgrim, joined me to prepare dinner with the sweetest dedication.
He came walking the Camino with his mother Johanna — and brought with him laughter, curiosity, and a lot of love.
Moments like this are the true magic of the albergue ✨

Há consultas que não se marcam — acontecem.🥰
A Dra. Sílvia Saraiva chegou ao meu albergue como peregrina, depois de subir a serra da Labruja, cansada, sentou-se no jardim e com uma generosidade rara, prontificou-se a olhar para as minhas análises, ali mesmo, no meio da natureza, sem pressa, com atenção e humanidade. Uma “consulta” improvável, mas talvez das mais bonitas que já tive.

Num mundo apressado e distante, há pessoas que nos lembram do essencial: cuidar do outro com amor ❤️

Obrigada, Sílvia, pela tua simplicidade, pela tua disponibilidade e pelo coração enorme que levas contigo por onde passas 🤍🙏🌿💛 Bom Caminho 🌿❤️
