It's a good news bad news good news post today!
The best news is that our mates are en route from Porto and everything is ready for their arrival, we're looking forward to a great weekend!
Slightly bad news - unfortunately the roof sandwich panels were the wrong size, so the jacuzzi is still roofless for now! However the weather for the foreseeable is very good so it doesn't matter for now, we just have a lovely frame!
And Ollie the oleander is happy in his nice new bigger pot 😀

Stretch has done an amazing job putting the steels up for the new roof above the jacuzzi. Hopefully the sandwich panels will arrive today or tomorrow so it can be finished this week before our next guests arrive on Friday!
Twiglet has been supervising, I think she's happy with the workmanship 🤣

Today we welcomed newlyweds Miguel and Nicole from Madrid, who are staying with us this week for their honeymoon.
We decorated the table with rose petals, and provided a bottle of fizz and a framed photo from their big day to welcome them!

Exciting news!
We are going to be on the telly again 😀
We completed more filming last year and will appear on "A New Life in the Sun: Where are they now?"

All ready for more guests, with a few small extra upgrades:
✅ Rugs in the bedroom and kitchen
✅ Refurbished pool stairs and mats
✅ New mosquito nets
✅ Outside electric light above the BBQ
✅ New plants and solar lights in the courtyard
✅ Beautiful flowers outside
✅ Tomato plants for guests
We're just waiting for the new grass to bed in where the old goat shed was, then we can add the swing seat too 😀

The first part of our major upgrade for 2026 is complete!
We've replaced the inflatable hot tub with a superb 42-jet hydromassage spa.
Of course, we had to test it out first and can confirm that it's fantastic. So if you're visiting us this year then you will have sole use of the spa throughout your stay!
Later in the year we hope to add a permanent roof to allow use all year round, whatever the weather 😀
