Today, we would love to introduce Oana to you, the woman behind SomartinCHOCOLATE and Șura Culinară®🌿 Șomartin 65.

After a long corporate career in banking, Oana chose a different path: she left Bucharest, moved closer to Sibiu and began shaping a life built around craft, taste and meaningful encounters.

In 2021, two deeply personal projects were born from this change: Șomartin Chocolate, a small handcrafted chocolate atelier hosted in a restored Saxon barn, and Șura Culinară, a social enterprise dedicated to authentic culinary and craft experiences.

Her chocolate brings back the taste of childhood through rich, handmade milk chocolate inspired by an old Romanian recipe, while her vegan assortments explore more delicate, unexpected flavours: lavender, rose petals, pink pepper, prunes, star anise and more.

For our evening inspired by Chocolat, Oana’s story feels beautifully fitting: a woman, a village, a new life, and chocolate made with love, to bring people closer.

O casă săsească din jurul anului 1850, o șură veche de aproape 100 de ani, grinzi de stejar redescoperite și multe decizii luate cu respect pentru ceea ce exista deja.

AlmaCalma nu este doar povestea unei renovări, ci a unei restaurări care a încercat să păstreze identitatea unei gospodării tradiționale din satul Alma Vii, județul Sibiu.
