🍂 Autumn is sweeping over Jämtland, painting Åsarna in gold and red. This is one of our favourite times of year at Kolbackens: the summer rush is over, it's quiet by the lake, and nature shows off its most beautiful side.

🍁 5 things to enjoy this autumn at Kolbackens:
• Hunt for mushrooms in the forests around Åsarna 🍄
• Cosy up in the grillkåta by a crackling fire, with friends or with a good book 📚🔥
• Take one last row on Lake Hålen before the real cold sets in 🚣

🫐 Blueberry season in Jämtland is here! 🌲

One of the best parts of summer? Walking straight from the campsite into the forest with a berry picker and coming back with a bowl full of fresh wild blueberries.

Along the way you’ll discover peaceful pine forests, colourful mushrooms and endless nature. All just minutes from Kolbackens Camping & Stugby. 💚

Napoli → Nordkapp → Napoli. On a Vespa 🛵

This guest’s road trip took him all the way to the North Cape and back through Åsarna, where he slept under the stars in our Grillkåta 🔥

That’s what we call an adventure. Safe travels home! 🇮🇹

Trainspotting, Kolbackens style 🚂

Did you know the Inlandsbanan passes right by our pitches? 🌲
Fun fact for our guests: it only runs mid June to end of August, passing by twice a day, around 8:30 in the morning and 19:00 in the evening. A little piece of Swedish railway history, right from your camping spot. 🚐☁️
