We are John (born in Holland) and Nicole (born in Germany) Kloet and we left in April 2020 with our camper, car and dog from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, to our new home in Sweden. Here we live in a lovely red old farmhouse in the same village a few kilometers from the campsite. Nås Camping Dalarna is located on the edge of this pretty village along the Västerdalälven River. We have beautiful spaci
ous pitches surrounded by beautiful old trees, beautiful views and many hiking trails in the woods, fields or mountains around the campsite. For example, from the campsite you can go in all directions by canoe to explore Dalarna's nature. With the dog it is wonderful to walk from the campsite directly in the woods along the river. Within walking distance (1.5 km) there are a well-stocked Tempo supermarket and the new restaurant "Nederborg-Bistro" and in the folkspark Storänget next to the campsite carbingo (sundays), Ingmarsspelen (first week of July) and Midsommar will be happening. Nås Camping is also ideal as a homebase for nice trips in the area:
from the campsite it is 100km to Mora or 80km to Falun for example. A tour around lake Siljan with a number of nice sights is definitely recommended and if there is enough interest, we can always be helpful to organize such a trip. In that case, your RV, tent or caravan can safely stay at our campsite. We are happy to help with tips for the further journey, are also always open to questions during your trip through Scandinavia, even if you only come here to get a cup of coffee, do your laundry or empty / refill the rv/caravan. We also rent out simple cabins along three of the numerous lakes in the immediate vicinity of Nås on behalf of the village and in collaboration with Dalarna Outdoor. For the ultimate feeling of freedom and to hear, see and feel the peace and quiet, it is definitely recommended to book a stay in those remote cabins (no electricity or running water). Dalarna Outdoor also offers wild-safari's and multi-day canoe trips, even then you can leave your camping equipment at the campsite with peace of mind. We fell completely in love with Sweden through all the trips with our campervan through mainly Northern Scandinavia and we are extremely happy to have found this beautiful spot, Nås. There is no better feeling than sharing that love for this campsite, the village and the surrounding area with our guests. Nothing more fun to see most of them set up the camping site after arrival and then pick up the paddles and safety vests for the canoes, or go fishing with a fishing rod or just before departure in the morning they take the time for a refreshing morning dive in the river. Here there is no rushing or stress, everything is possible and we love to share the Swedish simplicity of beautiful nature, peace and space. Varmt Välkommen,
