Waterfall and nordic forests in Jämtland 🇸🇪

On a half-day-trip we explored the valley of Ljungaleden starting from our holiday cottages at Galå Fjällgård. This time we focused on hiking the short path from the parking to the waterfall Rövrafallet. It was easy to go and the first view of the fall really surprised us.

We continued our excursion to Ljungdalen to make a "fika"-stop at the historic gammelgården for wafers and coffee.

Walking the forest trail behind the holiday cabins and realizing that colours are shifting, autumn mood is on it's way to remind us of what is laying in front of us.

Out and hike on this sunny day!

There have not been so many really beautiful summer days like today, almost end of August.
So we packed our bags and went out for a hike at Oviksfjällen. Our track went upwards to this stunning magnificent lake with crystal clear water.
We also enjoyed the wide view over the surroundings, always accompanied by lovely reindeers.

If you want to know more about hiking suggestions in our region we recommend to stay in one of our comfortable cabins or on the campsite. All our guests can take advantage of our written guide book (short version) or get more detailed instructions from ourselves.

Summer and hiking in Sweden 🇸🇪

Looking into the campfire can be very relaxing. Especially we you share the time with good friends 🤗
Talking about things in life can create memories.

At Galå Fjällgård our guests can enjoy a cosy campfire in our barbecue house. This place welcomes our guests on the campsite as well as in our rental cottages.

We also run a small campsite with 8 pitches.

The campsite at Galå Fjällgård offers 7 camping pitches surrounded by genuine primeval forest and next to the mountains of Jämtlandsfjällen.

Our camping guests are welcome to use our barbecue shelter for cosy campfires.
There's also a wood-heated sauna for rent.
