We just fell in love with Europe’s most underrated country 👀

Slovenia! 🇸🇮

While some people are familiar with Lake Bled, the country’s most popular destination, many folks that found out we were visiting Slovenia seemed a bit confused why we were electing to spend our time there 🧐

We just spent a little over a week road tripping all over this beautiful country (and wish we had WAY longer(!!)—turns out there’s a LOT more to Slovenia than just Lake Bled! Here are some things we loved about Slovenia👇🏼

🌆 You can hit most of the highlights of its beautiful capital city, Ljubliana, in one day. Plus, it’s super walkable, with great public transportation!

🏔️ It’s home to the Julian Alps, a mountain range known for its jagged limestone peaks, dense forests, and turquoise rivers. Plus, as wildlife lovers, we were so pleased by how many critters we spotted here—SOOO many chamois (an alpine goat that’s native here!).

🌊 While its coastline pales in comparison to its neighbors, Italy and Croatia, Slovenia still has about 30 miles of coastline along the Adriatic Sea, with a handful of adorable Venetian villages lining its shores.

💰Your money goes a LOT further here than the most popular destinations in Europe. It’s still not really a “budget” destination, per se, but there was so many times that we were absolutely THRILLED at the price of something (which doesn’t really happen these days!).

❤️ The people are generally incredibly kind and friendly, which is something we’ve found lacking in some other popular European countries. We stayed in an Airbnb in Ljubljana for a few weeks and our hosts brought us some kind of food every day of our stay!

🚌 SPREMEMBE VOZNIH REDOV ORGANIZIRANIH PREVOZOV OD 1. SEPTEMBRA DALJE

S torkom, 1. septembra 2026, se spreminjajo vozni redi organiziranih prevozov v Bohinju – prepoznate jih po nalepkah Za cvetoči Bohinj.

Kaj se spreminja?
• Linije 1, 2, 7 in 8 ne vozijo več.
• Liniji 3 in 5 vozita le še ob vikendih: 5.–6., 12.–13. in 19.–20. septembra.
• Linija 6 vozi vsak dan do 13. septembra.
• Linija 4 vozi vsak dan do 27. septembra, ponovno pa tudi med 24. oktobrom in 1. novembrom.

🆕 NOVA LINIJA 9 – SLAP SAVICA

Od 1. septembra do 1. novembra 2026 bo vsak dan vozila nova Linija 9 na relaciji:
Bohinjska Bistrica → Bohinjsko jezero → Stara Fužina (Korita Mostnice) → Slap Savica in nazaj.

Za vožnjo potrebujete:
🎫 vozovnico Bohinj 24 h,
🎫 Kartico Julijske Alpe: Bohinj ali
🎫 vozovnico Bohinjc.

⚠️ Nakup vozovnice na avtobusu ni možen. Vozovnico Bohinj 24 h lahko kupite prek spleta.

Od 1. septembra se spreminjajo tudi nekatere sezonske linije prevoznika Arriva, med drugim povezave proti Slapu Savica, Soriški planini ter med Bledom.

🇸🇮 Kravji bal 2026 se približuje! 🐮

Rezervirajte si nedeljo, 20. septembra 2026, ko se v Ukanc vrača ena najbolj priljubljenih in tradicionalnih bohinjskih prireditev – Kravji bal. Za pravo glasbeno vzdušje bo med drugim poskrbel tudi Ansambel Saša Avsenika. 🎶

🎟️ Vstopnice so že na voljo v predprodaji preko spletne strani Eventim.

🎟️ Od danes naprej pa jih lahko kupite tudi pri nas na recepciji Info centra Bohinj.

Zbrali smo predloge pohodov po Bohinju, pri katerih sta tako prihod do izhodišča kot povratek mogoča z javnim prevozom. Izbirate lahko med potmi različnih dolžin in zahtevnosti.
