Discover one of the most beautiful limestone peaks in northern Slovenia - Mount Raduha.

Mount Raduha (2,062 m) stands on the eastern edge of the Kamnik–Savinja Alps and is known for its dramatic rocky summit and sweeping alpine views. Forested lower slopes gradually open into high mountain terrain, leading to a rugged limestone peak that rewards hikers with breathtaking scenery.

Beneath the mountain lies the famous Snow Cave (Snežna jama), one of the highest-altitude caves in Slovenia.

Access is most common from the Luče area, with routes suitable for experienced hikers looking for a rewarding full-day adventure.

Step inside one of the highest-altitude ice caves in Slovenia!

Snežna jama, or the Snow Cave, lies on the northern slopes of Mount Raduha at around 1,600–1,700 m. This fascinating cave preserves ice throughout the year, offering a glimpse into Slovenia’s unique alpine geology.

The hike to the cave begins from the Luče or Planina pod Raduho side, winding through forests and alpine meadows before reaching rocky high mountain terrain. The trail is moderately challenging, with about 600–800 m of elevation gain, and takes roughly 2–3 hours one way depending on your pace.

Inside the cave, you can explore icy chambers, frozen stalagmites, and natural formations shaped by centuries of glacial activity. It’s a true mountain adventure that combines hiking, geology, and a touch of winter magic — perfect for explorers looking to go beyond the usual summit hike.

Ready to see Koroška from a different perspective? Ride the longest continuous zipline in Slovenia!

Črna na Koroškem is well known as the village of Olympians. And now all adrenaline seekers can head there for an unforgettable ride on Olimpline,

The descent starts at Navrški Vrh above Črna and leads down towards the ski slope, with the landing platform located near the Kogelnik farm. The steel cable is 1,263.5 meters long, and at the highest point you will be 206 meters above the ground.

The hike up Olševa offers one of the most dramatic ridgelines in the Koroška region!

Olševa (1,929 m) is a long limestone ridge stretching along the border between Slovenia and Austria. Its highest summit, Govca, rewards hikers with expansive views across the Mežica Valley, the Kamnik–Savinja Alps and deep into Austria on clear days.

The most common starting points are from the Solčava side (via Sveti Duh) or from the Črna na Koroškem area. From Sveti Duh, the hike typically takes around 2.5 to 3 hours to the summit, with approximately 900 m of elevation gain. The trail begins through forest before opening onto grassy slopes and eventually narrowing into a scenic ridge section.

The final stretch includes steeper, rocky terrain and some exposed sections, making it best suited for sure-footed and experienced hikers. In good weather, the ridge walk is one of the most beautiful panoramic hikes in northern Slovenia!

Along the way, you can also visit Potočka zijalka, an important archaeological cave site dating back to the Ice Age.

Looking to cool off?!

One of our guests' favourite things to do here at BikeSki B&B in the summer is visit the abandoned mine in our hometown Mežica in Slovenia.

Inside the mine, visitors can choose from several exciting activities.

For a truly unique twist on exploring the tunnels, there’s underground kayaking through flooded sections of the mine, offering a cool and unusual way to see the historic passages.

Cycling is also available, with regular biking routes along the mine’s old tracks and the extreme "Black Hole Trail" provides pure adrenaline for those seeking a challenge, including narrow paths, ramps, and twists through the underground labyrinth.

Each activity is guided and equipped for safety, so whether you prefer a gentle ride or an adrenaline-filled experience, the mine offers something for everyone.

Combined with the consistently cool temperature inside—around 8–10°C (46–50°F)—these experiences make the abandoned mine in Mežica a perfect summer escape!
