𝗖𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗘 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 · 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯 ☕️

There are flavours we discover.
And there are flavours that somehow feel as though we have always known them.

𝗧𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲.

Coffee. Cocoa. Soft cream.
Simple things that, when they come together, become something much more than the sum of their parts.
For our third Coffee Week creation, we took that familiar feeling and gave it a new form.

𝗧𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗘𝗘

Layer after layer, coffee moves through the whole creation — into the biscuit, through the cream, beneath the cocoa — until coffee and dessert are no longer two separate things.

It is rich. A little messy. Generous.
𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲.
Made to be eaten slowly, preferably with nowhere else to be.

Because Coffee Week was never about making coffee complicated.
It is about being curious enough to ask:

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺, 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀.

Coffee has always belonged in a cup.
At least, that's what we're used to.
But today, standing behind our gelato counter, we wondered…

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁?

What if coffee could be cold without being a cold brew?
What if it could melt instead of being sipped?

What if its bitterness could disappear for a moment into raspberry, only to find you again beneath the sweetness of ruby chocolate?

So we followed the thought.
Raspberry.
Ruby chocolate.
And running through it, the deep notes of our 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝘄.

Three worlds that weren't necessarily looking for each other.
Until they met.

Our second Coffee Week creation — this time, not in a glass, but in a gelato pan.

Because this week, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘀.

Imagine a slow afternoon in Piran.
Sunlight falling across the table.
Somewhere nearby, the sea.
And in front of you, a cold glass crowned with a soft pink cloud. 🌹

You take the first sip.
Rose.
A whisper of cardamom.
Pistachio.
Saffron from Kashmir.

And underneath it all, the deep, familiar taste of our Kashmirian Heart cold brew.
For a moment, Kashmir doesn't feel quite so far away.

𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗞𝗔𝗦𝗛𝗠𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗡 𝗥𝗢𝗦𝗘. 🌹

Today is 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆.

We could have celebrated it with a beautiful cup of coffee.
But you know us — we couldn't leave it at that.
𝗦𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻.

And somewhere between the mountains of Kashmir and the sea of Piran, our first Coffee Week creation was born.

Kashmirian Heart cold brew, hidden beneath a delicate pink cloud of rose and cardamom, finished with pistachio and precious Kashmiri saffron.

Cold. Silky. Floral.
Familiar… until it isn't.

𝐒𝐢𝐱 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Mama is the fifth generation. I am the sixth.

Long before PiranArt had a name, there were women in our family cooking, learning, remembering and passing what they knew from one generation to the next.

Some things were written down. Most weren't.
They were learned by watching hands. By tasting. By standing beside someone in the kitchen until somehow, one day, you simply knew.

PiranArt is where that story found its home in Piran.

But heritage was never meant to stand still.
We keep learning. We keep creating. We keep asking what hospitality can become when food, beauty, nature and genuine care for another human being meet around one table.

There is an old piano in our restaurant.
It has been here for years, carrying its own stories, memories and music.
And somehow, standing beside it with something we had just created, I realised how much our kitchen has always been like that piano.

You have the same notes in front of you.
But there are endless ways to play them.

This time, we took something as familiar as lemon and basil and asked ourselves:
What if we went a little further?

One basil became two.
Two became three.
And eventually, we stopped at six different varieties of basil. 🌿
Each one bringing its own note — delicate, floral, fresh, wild, aromatic, unexpected.

And then came the lemon.
Bright. Clean. Alive.
Somewhere along the way, those individual notes stopped being ingredients and became one flavour.

This is the part of creating that I love most.
Not knowing exactly where an idea will take us. Experimenting. Changing things. Tasting again. Following a feeling rather than a formula.
Until there comes that little moment when everything becomes quiet and you simply know:
Yes. This is it.

Maybe that is why, after all these years, gelato has never become just something we make.
For us, it is still a place to play, imagine and create.

When people asks what makes PiranArt special, the answer is never the food. It's the people who came before us.

Hands that had already spent decades in the kitchen. Hands that taught without many words. Hands that showed that cooking is never just about food. It is about love, care, dedication, and the quiet decision to give your best to every person who sits at your table.

For more than a century, each generation has carried these values forward.
Not in the same building. Not in the same kitchen.
But always with the same heart.

Today, we have the privilege of continuing that journey as the sixth generation.
Every service, every recipe, every guest is another opportunity to honor those who came before us while creating something meaningful for those who will come after.

This is more than a family business.
It is a legacy of love, passed from one generation to the next.
