Today, instead of guests, we welcomed a television crew.
Talking about the house, its restoration, and the story behind it.

We built a house on trust.

It started with a few bottles of wine in the fridge.
Have one. Pay when you leave.

Then we opened our kitchen to all our guests.
To use, to enjoy, and to take care of.

And something beautiful happened.
Our guests started sharing our house.

We gave them more freedom.
And they gave the house more care.

Vila Kobdilj was never designed as a hotel.

We wanted it to be a place where you can relax, feel at peace, and simply enjoy being somewhere else for a few days.

We are still exploring, together with our guests, how to shape this experience. And we are grateful for their input.

The way they live in our house, the things they appreciate, the details they notice — this is our guidebook for the future.

Old stone. New life.

Kajža started as a crumbling shell — stone walls, old beams and not much else.

It was the first house at Vila Kobdilj we brought back to life. We kept what we could, uncovered what had been hidden, and added steel, glass and oak.

Today, it’s a little house of its own — with a kitchen and living space downstairs, a bedroom tucked into the loft, and a private terrace under the old roof.

Same walls. A different life.
