Barbara Wong • A few days at Vila Planinka—a chance to slow down, recharge, and experience hospitality from the other side of the table.
I’ve been thinking about what luxury really means. More and more, I think it’s less about excess and more about thoughtfulness—a beautiful sense of place, genuine service, great food and wine, and the time to actually enjoy it.
One of my favorite parts of traveling is drinking the wines of the place I’m in. Trying local varieties and producers, especially ones I may not know well, opens the mind and the palate to something new. And wine has a wonderful way of creating a common language—opening conversations, sharing stories, and connecting people wherever you are.
I always come away from experiences like this feeling restored, inspired, and with a slightly different perspective on hospitality.
