Five days, several habitats, and a cloud-forest lodge as base camp. We were glad to host Tyler Wenzel Photography at Casa Colibrí in Apaneca for a birding circuit across El Salvador. Mornings started in the hummingbird garden above Laguna Verde; from there the route reached forest, mangroves, and the coast. Standouts from the trip included Mexican Violetear, Rivoli’s Hummingbird, Sparkling-tailed Hummingbird, Rufous Sabrewing, Emerald-chinned Hummingbird, Turquoise-browed Motmot, Bushy-crested Jay, Blue-and-white Mockingbird, Bar-winged Oriole, Long-tailed Manakin, and a strong set of migrant shorebirds, including Marbled Godwit. Thank you, Tyler, for the visit and for helping share what birding in El Salvador looks like from Casa Colibrí.Casa Colibrí Birding Lodge · Apaneca, El Salvador
