Take a Grab/taxi from Sivalai Place to Tha Din Daeng Pier (ท่าดินแดง) — approximately 15–20 minutes.
Take the short cross-river ferry to Ratchawong Pier (ท่าราชวงศ์).
From Ratchawong Pier, walk approximately 10–15 minutes to Chakkrawat Road or Wat Chakkrawat (Wat Sam Pluem).

Ratchawong Pier is located in the Chakkrawat area and connects directly with Tha Din Daeng by cross-river ferry. It is also convenient for visiting Song Wat, Sampeng and Yaowarat. Ratchawong Pier information

🕘 Around 9:00 AM, a fruit seller stops right in front of Sivalai Place, followed a little later by the fruit van, bringing an even bigger selection of fresh tropical fruits.

You might find:

🍍 Pineapples
🍉 Watermelon
🐉 Dragon fruit
🍈 Guava
🥥 Coconuts
🍌 Bananas..and whatever is in season!

💚 Fresh.

🚤 Getting to Thammasat University is easier than you might think!

Many of our exchange students are surprised by how simple the journey is. From Sivalai Place, it’s just a short motorscooter or tuk-tuk ride to the pier, a quick ferry across the Chao Phraya River, and a short walk to campus — usually taking only 20–30 minutes.

During your first few days in Bangkok, we’re happy to help you learn the route, and you’ll also meet other students who make the same journey every day. Before long, you’ll be commuting like a local!

When you first arrived in Bangkok, many of you came alone, nervous, excited, homesick, curious, or unsure of what to expect. Somehow, over time, you became more than just guests or students renting a room. You became part of our everyday life here.

The small conversations in the lobby, studying late at night, rooftop sunsets, sharing food, asking about Thailand, teaching us about your countries, laughing together after long days at university — these are the moments that made Sivalai Place feel alive and meaningful.
