The whole valley is green. Rice fields are growing, the waterfalls are flowing, and the surrounding mountains are often wrapped in mist after the rain.
September is also a quieter time in Pai - fewer tourists, peaceful roads, cooler mornings and plenty of space to enjoy the countryside without the crowds.
