Bronz ağırdır. Ama bu figür, rüzgârda savruluyor gibi durur.

Ugo Riva, heykellerini kendi elleriyle üretir. Kili tırnaklarıyla şekillendirir; fırından bronza, patinadan renge kadar süreci baştan sona kendisi yönetir. Fırçayla değil, sıcakla sabitlenen pigmentlerle renklendirir. Bu yüzden bronzu kimi zaman ahşap, kimi zaman toprak gibi görünür.

“Soffio di Cielo”, gökyüzünün nefesi demek. Bağların ortasında duran bu kadın figürü, Çanakkale rüzgârını görünür kılar.

Bronze is heavy. Yet this figure appears as if carried by the wind.

Ugo Riva creates his sculptures entirely by hand. He shapes the clay with his nails; from kiln to bronze, from patina to color, he oversees the process from beginning to end. He colors his works not with a brush, but with pigments fixed by heat. This is why his bronze can sometimes appear like wood, sometimes like earth.

“Soffio di Cielo” means “Breath of Heaven.” Standing among the vineyards, this female figure makes the Çanakkale wind visible.
