Today we honor the extraordinary life of Ayla Emiroğlu, our founder and the true soul of Maçakızı, with heavy hearts.

She was both the light that guided us through the years and the anchor that rooted us in who we are. To us, she was and forever will be our Queen of Spades with the most vibrant personality who warmed every corner of Maçakızı.

Thank you, Ayla, for your spirit, and for creating a home for us all and for being you. Thank you for teaching us how to host with pure generosity, share with fierce passion and live life to the fullest.
