今天08月29日是我的生日
昨天08月28日拿到途中池上的民宿牌
算是一份禮物🎁

我跟Ray把途中都蘭的一切不足
都盡量在途中池上補足了

過去這五年
都蘭離開了好多店家
好似
大家都去了一個更好的地方
只有我還留在鄉下
癡癡地等旅人回來

有些緣分持續在
年復一年回來
也有些從此成為過客

回頭看這一路的旅程
從都蘭的海灘
到池上的稻田

從拉達克的懾人風景
到尼泊爾令人難過的災情
其實每一步都像是在提醒我們

人生是一場旅程
有人相伴
有人離散

有危機得解
也有遺憾留存

但只要仍站在這裡
仍能向前走
就還有下一城
下一段故事

也許解脫不是終點
而是學會放下那些讓你心累的事
不再被世界牽著鼻子走
不再因別離而徹夜難眠
不再為旅店賺不賺錢而焦慮破表

願我們都能找到屬於自己的那份「靜」
在混亂之中保持心底的光
在風暴之後仍願意繼續前行

Today, August 29, is my birthday.
And yesterday, August 28, we finally received the official license for our new hostel in Chishang — a birthday gift in its own way. 🎁

Ray and I tried to fill in everything we felt was missing in Dulan, and carry those pieces with us into Chishang.

Over the past five years, so many familiar places in Dulan have disappeared, as if everyone had moved on to somewhere better.

And somehow, I’m still here in the countryside, quietly waiting for travelers to return.

Some connections stay, bringing people back year after year.
Others simply become part of the journey.

Looking back, from the beaches of Dulan to the rice fields of Chishang, from the breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh to the heartbreaking floods in Nepal, every step seems to remind us:

Life is a journey.
Some people walk beside us.
Some eventually drift away.

Some storms pass.
Some scars remain.

But as long as we are still standing here,
still willing to move forward,
there will always be another destination,
another chapter waiting to unfold.

Maybe freedom isn’t about reaching the end.
Maybe it’s about learning to let go of what makes our hearts tired.

To stop letting the world pull us around.
To stop losing sleep over goodbyes.
To stop letting the ups and downs of a hostel business consume us.

May we all find our own kind of stillness.

To keep a little light within us, even in the chaos.
And after every storm,
still choose to keep moving forward.

這幾天的都蘭
真的被雨下到有點陰鬱

每天都在期待
雨過天晴後那溫柔的晚霞🌅

抬頭看看海的另一端
其實綠島一直都在那

不用趕行程
住在都蘭
坐在海邊
就能靜靜看著太平洋與綠島
一起迎接夜晚

夏天的都蘭
跟朋友搬幾張椅子到海邊
手裡拿杯清涼的飲品

什麼都不用做
放空一整個傍晚
有時和旅伴聊著聊著
一不小心就聊到深夜

如果你隔天要搭船去綠島
前一晚不一定要住在台東市區
來都蘭住一晚吧🌴🌊

把城市的匆忙留在身後
在出發前
給自己一場chill的夏夜

有海、有晚霞
還有遠方那座安靜亮著的綠島

Dulan has been feeling a little gloomy these past few days,
with rain pouring down day after day.

Every day, we’ve been waiting
for that gentle sunset after the rain. 🌅

And when you look across the ocean,
you’ll realize Green Island has been there all along.

No need to rush from one place to another.
Stay in Dulan,
sit by the sea,
and simply watch the Pacific Ocean and Green Island
slowly welcome the night together.

Summer evenings in Dulan are made for this—
bring a few chairs to the seaside with friends,
grab a refreshing drink,
and do absolutely nothing.

Sometimes you just sit there,
letting the whole evening drift by.
Sometimes a conversation with your travel buddies
somehow goes on until midnight.

If you’re taking the ferry to Green Island the next day,

卻特別留了兩晚住進都蘭村

我忍不住跟他們分享都蘭的美好

週二晚上可以去錄托邦市集（都蘭交誼廳）
跟在地人一起吃飯、聊天、聽音樂

白天可以走上都蘭聖山
遠遠看著太平洋
也看看山腳下的都蘭村

如果早起一點
還可以去都蘭觀海平台看日出

而到了晚上
抬起頭
又是滿天星斗

我一直覺得
旅行不是去了多少名勝景點&買多少東西
而是有沒有遇見一個地方
讓你願意慢下來

看著這幾位香港旅人
我突然想起以前很喜歡的一首粵語歌——
《哪裡只得我共你》

那首歌唱的
好像也是一種很簡單的願望⬇️

在這個世界很吵的時候
身邊有一個可以一起走的人
在外面的世界太複雜的時候
還能找到一個地方
讓彼此好好呼吸

也許這就是我喜歡都蘭的原因

這裡沒有絢麗的都市夜景
沒有排得滿滿的購物行程

只有山、海、晚霞、星空
一座小小的村子
以及一些願意坐下來跟你聊天的人

來都蘭
什麼都不要急著做

有時候
我們真正想找的旅行目的地
是那個讓你覺得：

「在這裡，好像就可以好好做自己。」

哪裡只得我共你
也許都蘭
剛好就是這樣的一個地方☀️🌊🌌

【Maybe Dulan Is That Place】

Six travelers from Hong Kong stayed at On My Way Dulan Hostel for the past two nights.

They’re traveling around Taiwan for 7 days and 6 nights,
but chose to spend two of those nights here in Dulan.

I couldn’t help but share some of my favorite things about this little village.

On Tuesday evenings,
you can visit the Lutopia Night Market,
eat, chat, listen to music, and hang out with the locals.

During the day,
head up Dulan Sacred Mountain,
look out over the Pacific,
and see Dulan Village from above.

Wake up early,
and you can catch the sunrise from Dulan Ocean View Platform.

And at night,
just look up —
the sky is filled with stars. ✨

I’ve always believed that traveling isn’t about how many famous places you visit
or how much you buy.

It’s about finding a place
that makes you want to slow down.

Watching these travelers from Hong Kong,
I suddenly remembered one of my favorite Cantonese songs,
《哪裡只得我共你》.

It sings about a simple wish:

When the world gets too loud,
having someone to walk with.

And when the outside world feels too complicated,
finding a place where you can simply breathe.

Maybe that’s why I love Dulan.

No dazzling city lights.
No packed shopping itineraries.

Just mountains, the ocean, sunsets, stars,
a little village,
and people who are always willing to sit down and have a chat.

Come to Dulan.
You don’t have to rush to do anything.

Sometimes,
the place we’re really looking for
is simply somewhere that makes you feel:

“Here, I can just be myself.”

Maybe Dulan
just happens to be that place. ☀️🌊🌌
