It’s Father’s Day and we are enjoying a lovely breakfast on your back patio. We have thoroughly enjoyed staying in your charming house—we slept well, played games and spend leisurely moments reading. Yesterday was our bike ride on the trail. We just made it 17 miles-we had plans to go the whole way but it began to rain so we decided to pack it in-good thing, too. The folks in our group were completely drenched! We loved the chocolate muffins! The place of comfort that you have provided us has been wonderful. A very special baby was able to call this her first home. The cottage was so tastefully decorated and accommodating. Not only is the cottage beautiful but it is warm, inviting, cozy and comforting. Thank you so much for helping make my 30th birthday so special. I cannot imagine a more perfect cottage decorated perfectly for a girl’s week-end. We were all going home with decorating ideas from of decoration. You cannot imagine my surprise when my mother took off my blindfold and I found myself in wonderful Abingdon in a precious cottage. You have truly created an atmosphere where we felt comfortable. Thank you so much for a very comfortable stay in your darling cottage. We had great fun tooling around Abingdon and especially enjoyed walking and cycling on the Creeper Trail. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely cottage with us. We have absolutely loved our visit here for the past four nights! Your have done a great job decorating this cottage…a lovely combination of old antiques and modern kitchen/bathroom conveniences. Our three boys have loved riding their bikes on the nearby Virginia Creeper Trail-they even had an Easter Egg Hunt one morning in your garden! We hope to be able to come back soon. Exactly the right place for our “sister’s weekend” in Abingdon. We saw two plays at the Barter, hiked the Creeper Trail, and went to the Halloween festival. Thanks for your hospitality. Never in a million years would I of dreamed of finding a goldmine while surfing the internet, but we did. When we entered your charming and quant cottage, it was far beyond our expectations. Mike’s immediate response was “This cottage was made of love.” Thank you for your gracious hospitality of pastries, fresh flowers, suggestions for dinner and the best spot in town to ride the creeper. Your place was lovely! We have many problems during our trip, but coming “home” to the cottage helped calm our nerves and make life easier. Your thoughtfulness with the wine and coffee cake and flowers was a welcome treat and so kind. Your place is just beautiful. We’ll be back for sure. If not for the festival, for a vacation at least-and to a place we can truly feel like our home away from home. What a great week we have had. A beautiful cottage and a quaint town. A great location for riding the Creeper Trail; rode three times for a total of 80 miles. Celebrated our 41st anniversary dinner at the Martha Washington Inn; super diner. We had a marvelous stay, and so enjoyed your cottage! The whirlpool bath was especially helpful after completing the 34 miles on the Creeper Trail. We really enjoyed Abingdon/Bristol and the beautiful cottage. This was the first USA trip for Thea (4 years old) and we have been visiting the caves, the county fair and seen the beautiful town of Abingdon by horse and wagon. Enjoyed our stay at your lovely French country cottage. You’ve thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable. This is such a cute cottage. Thank you for the lovely bouquet of flowers. This is a very comfortable place to call home-while we are trying to find a permanent place to call home. Loved the way it is decorated with new along with the old. The whirlpool bath is a very enjoyable and big surprise for us. From the cabinets to the trim, you have turned these bones to a beautiful cottage. The paint colors are perfect and the décor is right out of “Veranda”.
