In fact, September is one of the BEST months to camp on the Bush River! The weather is beautiful, the summer crowds are winding down, the pool is still open, and the crabs are biting! 🦀☀️🏕️

It’s the perfect time to sneak in a weekend getaway, enjoy a quiet evening by the campfire, or spend the day fishing and crabbing along the river.

🏕️ Campsite Spotlight: Site P2

Some campsites become guest favorites for a reason, and Site P2 is definitely one of them.

This motorhome-only waterfront site is one of our largest overnight sites and checks all the boxes. It offers beautiful shade, peaceful waterfront views, and a quiet location that keeps guests coming back year after year.

Like all of our overnight sites, P2 is a full hookup site. Simply pull your motorhome in, set up your chairs, and enjoy an unobstructed view of the Bush River right from your campsite. Just steps away is one of our fishing piers, where you can cast a line, or simply relax while keeping an eye out for the bald eagles that are often soaring overhead.

Don't have a motorhome? No problem! Site P1, located right next door, is a spacious back-in waterfront site that offers the same incredible views and easy access to the river.

Whether you're planning a weekend getaway or a longer stay, it's easy to see why so many returning guests request P2. It's spacious, scenic, peaceful, and a perfect place to experience everything that makes Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina so special. 🌊🚐🦅

🦆 We have some new residents at Bar Harbor! 🦆

We are SO excited to share that a brand-new flock of ducks was released here at the park yesterday, and they are already settling right into their new waterfront home! 💙

These little guys have been a labor of love. We were fortunate to have family members raise them from tiny hatchlings, caring for them in a protected pen for weeks while they grew and waited for their waterproof swimming feathers to come in. Yesterday was finally the big day they got to make their way down to the Bush River!

And we are especially excited to say… we finally have white ducks again! 🤍🦆 It’s been a long time since we’ve had them around the park, and we’ve definitely missed seeing them waddling along the shoreline.

Our new flock also includes a fun variety of ducks, including some adorable little Call ducks, along with several other colors and varieties like pekins, Appleyards, and khaki Campbells. They are already exploring, swimming, sticking together, and acclimating beautifully to their new home.

If you’re staying with us, keep an eye out for our newest residents around the waterfront! We have a feeling they’re going to become some pretty popular members of the Bar Harbor family. 🦆🌊

And please remember to enjoy them from a respectful distance while they continue getting comfortable in their new surroundings. ❤️

⭐ Guest Spotlight ⭐

One of our favorite parts of Bar Harbor RV Park & Marina isn't just the beautiful views, it's watching the friendships and traditions that grow here year after year.

The Fargione family and friends are familiar faces around the park, and every visit looks like it's filled with laughter, time on the water, and great memories together. This trip, they took it up a notch with matching "Camping Crew 2026" shirts, and we absolutely love it!

Thank you, Fargione family, for sharing your adventures with us and for always tagging us in your photos. Seeing our campground through your eyes reminds us why we do what we do.

And to all of our amazing guests: thank you for the wonderful reviews, photos, and kind words you've shared this season. Every comment, every tag, and every recommendation means the world to our family and our staff.
