Our Story
151 Inn is the little farmhouse in the country you've always dreamed about... think old farmhouse with modern amenities.
Our house offers you the comfort and privacy you have been looking for... don't worry about which room you'll be assigned or more importantly, who is sleeping in the next room; it's just you, your family and your guests.
The front of the house was built in the mid 1800's. The original chestnut log beams are showcased in the ceiling of the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen - upon your arrival, you'll find baked goods such as muffins and pie... tastes of home, which are sure to please. We also provide breakfast items for you to prepare such as eggs, pancakes, oatmeal and cereal along with orange juice, milk, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and more. Don't worry, we have cookware for you to use.
A home away from home, our little, country house has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There is 1 king bed, 1 full bed and two single beds. We also have a baby crib for tiny tots. All pillows are hypoallergenic. Don't worry about bringing linens and toiletries, we've got that covered too. You will need to bring personal items, such as toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush... we have a hairdryer.
The living room has comfy sofas, a recliner you will want to sleep in and a smart tv with Netflix access. There is a back porch which is filled with windows. It's a wonderful place to start the day with a cup of coffee/tea or relax after a long day with a local craft beer.
Wifi (fios) connectivity is also available throughout the house to keep you connected. The property is not in the middle of the woods, it's on Rt 151 which is the main road to Wintergreen Resort. We are located on Route 151, 6.2 miles south of Rt 250. (search "151" and "Inn" to find more information as well as directions).
We have a wonderful view of Ennis Mountain and are surrounded by family and friends. Our neighbors are used to hearing the sounds of nature at night, we hope you enjoy them too and are quiet.
In the Spring, Summer and Fall we host a farm stand on weekends (at the barn) which holds fresh fruits and produce from our family farm, Dickie Bros. Orchard. If you enjoy apple picking, Dickie Bros. is just a short drive from the 151 Inn.
There are also wonderful hiking trails in Nelson County. Biking on the Blue Ridge Parkway, fishing, canoeing or maybe you'd prefer golfing or a spa day at Wintergreen Resort... just 15 mins. from us. Charlottesville is 25 miles from us. Lynchburg is an hour south of us.
Getting Around
Although we have wineries, breweries, restaurants, golfing, skiing, orchards, etc. within a few miles to the north and south of us, you will need to travel in your vehicle to enjoy them... or schedule wine tour and have a driver pick you and bring you back.
