Happy Housekeeping Appreciation Week! ❤️

To our incredible Housekeeping Team,

There are not enough words to properly express how grateful I am for each and every one of you.

Housekeeping is truly the heart of our hotel. Every beautifully made bed, sparkling bathroom, freshly folded towel, clean hallway, and welcoming guest room is the result of your hard work. Much of what you do happens quietly behind the scenes, but it is one of the biggest reasons our guests leave happy, write wonderful reviews, and choose to stay with us again.

This summer has asked a lot of you. There have been long days, mountains of laundry, busy weekends, last-minute room changes, and days when it seemed like the list of rooms would never end. Through it all, you continued to show up, work together, help one another, and take pride in making our hotel a place we can all be proud of.

I know that housekeeping is not easy work. It is physically demanding, often exhausting, and sometimes does not receive the recognition it deserves. But please know that I see your work, our guests see your work, and this hotel could not succeed without you.

More importantly, I appreciate the people behind that work. I appreciate the laughter, friendships, teamwork, patience, and personality each of you brings into this hotel. You are not simply the people who clean our rooms—you are an essential part of our hotel family.

As we celebrate Housekeeping Appreciation Week, I hope each of you knows just how valued you are. Thank you for the early mornings, the busy afternoons, the extra rooms, the laundry, the deep cleans, the attention to detail, and all those little things you do that may go unnoticed but make an enormous difference.

Happy Constitution Day!

On September 17, 1787, delegates gathered for the final time at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia to sign the United States Constitution. Thirty-nine names ultimately appeared on the document, establishing a new framework for the nation’s government. Today, September 17 is observed as Constitution Day and Citizenship Day.

As we commemorate this important moment in American history, we also remember the earlier work that helped shape the nation’s founding. Eleven years before the Constitution was signed, the **Committee of Five—John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Robert R. Livingston, and Roger Sherman—**was appointed to prepare the Declaration of Independence.

From the Declaration’s assertion of fundamental rights to the Constitution’s creation of a lasting system of government, these founding documents continue to provide Americans with a shared civic inheritance—and an ongoing responsibility to understand, discuss, and preserve the principles of representative government.

🌟 TEAM MEMBER SHOUTOUT: MEAGAN & EMMA! 🌟

We love hearing when our guests have an amazing experience, but we especially love hearing about the people who helped make it happen!

A recent guest stayed with us while he and his wife were in the area adopting a new puppy from the Animal Adoption Center. 🐶❤️ He specifically recognized Meagan and Emma for being “extremely helpful, kind, and accommodating” and said they would definitely stay with us again.

That’s hospitality at its best! Meagan and Emma genuinely love helping our guests—whether it’s answering questions, offering a little extra assistance, or simply making someone feel welcome and at home after a long day of traveling.

This is the view from our window, and if you look closely, you can already see little pops of autumn color beginning to appear across the mountain. 💛🧡❤️

It starts subtly—a splash of gold here, a touch of orange there—and before we know it, our beautiful valley will be dressed in its full autumn glory.

But fall in the mountains never stays quite long enough! Soon those brilliant colors will give way to bare branches and the first hints of winter. So now is the perfect time to plan a getaway to Alpine and experience one of the most beautiful seasons in western Wyoming.

Today, we celebrate the hardworking men and women whose labor, dedication, and perseverance have helped build our communities and our country.

Labor Day has been celebrated in the United States since the late 19th century, when the labor movement sought a national day recognizing the contributions and achievements of American workers. The first Labor Day celebration was held in New York City in 1882, and in 1894, Labor Day officially became a federal holiday.

More than 130 years later, the first Monday in September remains an opportunity to recognize the value of hard work—and perhaps an equally good reminder that sometimes we all deserve a little rest from our labors. ❤️🤍💙
