Summer is not slowing down in Amarillo. Not even close.

Coming up in July: the Will Rogers Range Riders Rodeo returns to Amarillo, hosted by the oldest continuously operating riding club in the United States. We are talking Mutton Bustin', live music, and traditional rodeo competition with deep Texas roots. It is the kind of event that puts the best of the Panhandle on full display, and it is a great reason to extend your stay or start planning a late-summer trip.

Donuts with Dad at the office brought out some of the best people on the property this weekend. Dads in flip flops. Kids with powdered sugar on their shirts. It was exactly the kind of morning that makes this job worth doing.

Father's Day at an RV resort has a texture you cannot quite replicate anywhere else. People are here because they chose to be together, on purpose, on the road. That choice means something. And watching families celebrate their dads in this little corner of the Texas Panhandle was a reminder of why community like this matters.

We have loved watching the Tin Can Tourists pull in to Amarillo this week!

The Tin Can Tourists Route 66 Centennial Rally runs June 11 through 14 in Amarillo, and the vintage trailers and classic rigs gathering around our area have been nothing short of beautiful. There is a whole community of people who travel this way: slowly, deliberately, in rigs that carry decades of road history behind them.

One guest shared something with us this week that we keep thinking about. She said she has stayed at a lot of parks over the years, but the ones that feel like home are the ones where the staff actually notices you. Where someone at the front desk remembers your dog's name.

Between festival days, there is no better place to recharge than right here on the property. The pool and hot tub are open 10AM to 10PM, and after a full day of car shows and live music, easing into the spa feels like exactly the right call. The dog park is open around the clock for the four-legged members of your travel crew.

The bathhouse is clean and available 24 hours. The laundry room runs all day and night (download the PayRange app before you need it). The general store and coffee station are here when you need a quick refresh.

The festival has 10 days of events. You have a fully equipped, comfortable basecamp to come back to after every single one.

Pool season is officially here!

There is a specific kind of afternoon that repeats itself every summer at Amarillo RV Resort. Kids in swimsuits racing from their cottage to the pool gate. Parents pulling up chairs. Someone floating on their back with eyes closed while Route 66 hums in the distance.

The pool is open daily from 9AM to 9PM all season long, and it becomes the heartbeat of the resort from May into summer. Families settle in around it. The hot tub fills up at golden hour. The whole property finds a rhythm that is easy to fall into.

The fitness center, dog park, laundry facilities, and bathhouse are all on-site too, all part of what makes a stay here feel complete rather than just convenient.
