One of a kind. 🌾

The Silo is one of only about 100 purpose-built silo homes, designed and built as a house in the 1970s, not converted from a farm structure.

Curved walls, warm wood and west-facing windows fill the room with natural light. Outside: UMass farmland, wide skies and sunsets that feel worlds away, yet you're a mile from Amherst Center.

Your guest suite is completely private, with its own entrance.

This isn't a converted grain silo — it's the real thing, built for living in 1973, during the energy crisis that made round, efficient homes make sense. Roughly 100 of these were ever built in America. This is one of them.

Round rooms. Soaring ceilings. Farmland just beyond the windows.
