With Great Sorrow, Crazzy Craig & Bonnie Johnson must let you All know that Camp Wasewagan is Closed until Further Notice.

Camp was truly Hit Hard with so much Destruction to the entire Angelus Oaks Area and Our Beautiful Site, due to Hurricane Hilary's Strong Winds, and Thunder Storms that produced Heavy Torrential Rains. We ALL experienced Devastation/Destruction Beyond Words!!

We desperately need your HELP and Support to be able to First...Access our Camp...To get in and out, the Road is the first thing we need to Rebuild.

After 54 Incredible years of Owning and Directing two Amazing Camps... Camp Wasewagan… Craig Johnson needs your support for Rebuilding Wasewagan on the River

We finally had some time to go through the beautiful pictures that took of our Daughter Jeni's wedding at Camp in October. We feel so thankful for the love and support that we felt that weekend and continue to feel from our Camp Wasewagan family. Kris could not have been a better match for our Jeni, he is the best brother, uncle, son, and husband.

Jeni and Kris, Momma Bear and Papa Craigee wish you years and years of happiness. We love you!

Let us know what you loved and if you have a staff member that really stood out to you or your camper, we'd love to know so that we can make sure that staff member is being recognized for their hard work. 🌲🚣🌞

If your camper is over the age of 16 and has aged out of camp but still wants to be apart of Camp Wasewagan, we are always looking for staff members to work in the Kitchen, Counselor Assistants, and Counselors! This is not just a summer opportunity as we are also always looking for staff members to help with Mid-Week and Weekend Groups. We absolutely love taking our old campers as staff members because no one knows camp better than our own family!

*PAID Training Weekends.
*CPR/First Aid/Lifeguarding Training Weekend in the Spring.
*Must pass a background check.
*Kitchen Staff will need to obtain a Food Handlers Card.
*Being a Camper isn't a requirement for employment at Camp Wasewagan. If you know someone who might be a good fit, feel free to let them know about the opportunity for not only Summer Camp but Fall/Spring Retreat and Wedding Groups as well!
