STAR LODGE #225 HOSTED THE
DECEMBER 27, 2025 FEAST OF ST. JOHN
Over 30 Masons attended the Feast of St. John at Star Lodge #225 in Orland. Masons from
over 12 Lodges attended including: Star #225; Angola #236; Northeastern #210; Forest
#239; DeKalb 214; Ashley #614; Concord #556; Columbia City #189; Roanoke #195; Warsaw
# 73; Colon MI #73; and Mendon MI #137. Host Star Lodge #225 organized the event,
including the opening and closing, organizing a great meal and hosting the many visiting
brethren.
The speaker for the evening was Dathan Reed, (seated in front row – third from right) a
Past Master of Warsaw Lodge #73, and currently the Grand Captain General of the Grand
Commandery Knights Templar of Indiana. Covered in the front row is Ray Tracey, Master of
Star Lodge. Several members of Star Lodge are seated in the front row.
A collection of $400 was collected from the brethren and will be sent as a contribution to
the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin Indiana.

Mike Anderson, both members of
Angola York Rite.
Dathan Reed gave an interesting talk
about Masonry and its’ tenants, which
was given to those in attendance. A
lesson on what is needed by local
members for the benefit of Masonry.
A couple of the Masons, Paul Friend and Glen Rogers who took
pictures of the event, were not to be left out of those attending,
thanks to the cleverness of Bob Tracey, Worshipful Master of
Forest Lodge #239. Keep smiling!
