We love our animals at 3B’s! The wildlife has been abundant the last week or so. The last 2 pictures might be the wildest wildlife in the Gorge lol.

P.S. Look at the time on our game cameras when I was mowing compared to mama and baby bear. They were only about 25 yards away. So cool!

Update: met with an engineer from DOT. He seemed to be understanding and listened to our concerns. He offered some solutions which seem doable and like they’ll help. He ALSO apologized about not giving us a heads up on the timing of the road work above our house. That was really hard on the dogs, so means a lot. We’ll see how things progress from here, but feeling way less hopeless at this point.
***Other positive note, the moss is happy.

Warning: some f-words are dropped in this video. and how does one recover from your “road repairs” when we are still feeling knocked down from ?

Ya’ll. You know me and B. We smile through it all. When people ask how recovery is going, we just skim by how things really are…… but THIS….. we are beyond frustrated and defeated.

After months of road repairs (drilling, the house SHAKING, the dogs freaking out, dirt dust EVERYWHERE, constant bangs as trucks drive over the temporary road plate, rock trucks FLYING down 74A) this is the result.

A freaking waterfall through our property.

We have spent $$$$ repairing the drainage around the house and business. All has been working PERFECTLY until now. This is the first big rain since the culvert “repairs.” Our basement is flooded, which means our NEW drainage is now clogged. New rock for the driveway and our time to repair is costly. Businesses in our area are struggling. How does and expect us to recover with this going on?!
