A little farewell gift. A very happy Jeep owner. 🦆💛

Before one of our guests headed home, our groundskeeper Kevin sent her off with a little duck for her Jeep (with “Asheville Cottages” written on it.)

She was so excited that she sent us these photos! And judging by the collection on her dashboard, this little duck is in good company. 😊

We love that a little piece of her cottage getaway gets to go along for the next adventure.

Looking for a fall outing with a little more than pretty scenery? 🍂

The North Carolina Arboretum gives you gardens, trails and an indoor stop all in one place. This fall, the Baker Exhibit Hall is also home to Wolves: Photography by Ronan Donovan, featuring photographs and videos of wolves in the wild.

Our simple afternoon plan:

🌿 Wander through the gardens
🥾 Choose a trail that fits your energy level
🐺 Step inside for the wolves exhibit
🏡 Head back to your cottage and put your feet up

The Arboretum is open from 8 a.m.–9 p.m. through October, and its current vehicle parking fee is $25. Check the official website before heading out for the latest visitor information.

Alysha brings a sweet, calm presence to Asheville Cottages. Her easygoing nature is a quiet strength, and we’re happy to have her on the team.

A little about her: she has a 13-year-old son, has lived in four states and two countries, and is studying for a degree in Sustainable Food and Farming. 🌱 When she’s not working or studying, she enjoys the nature that makes Western North Carolina so special.
