The Pines Cottages is a great place to stay while visiting the Asheville area because we offer more than just a hotel room. Studio, one, two and three-bedroom cottages and log cabins. The Pines Cottages is an original cabin court that has been updated, but has kept the charm of the vintage cottages and cabins with the comforts of modern life. We are pet-friendly and are located on 4 1/2 acres with

mature trees and gardens, yet only minutes from downtown Asheville, Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

What does a weekend look like when you run a family-owned boutique hotel? A little bit of everything.

We’re checking cottages, fluffing pillows, making sure the grounds feel just right, welcoming guests, fixing the things that inevitably need fixing, and probably starting another project somewhere along the way.

Owning The Pines Cottages means we’re very hands-on, but that’s also one of our favorite parts of it. This historic Asheville property has so much character, and we’ve loved finding ways to honor what has always made The Pines special while creating the kind of stay we’d want to have ourselves.

We want it to feel warm and a little nostalgic.

There’s a lot of work that happens behind the scenes to create that feeling.

We’re really grateful we get to be the family caring for this little piece of Asheville history. 🤍

Some people leave a little more light behind them. 🤍

Dolly has always felt like part of these mountains. Her music, her kindness, her humor, and her love for the people, she meant so much to so many.

Her beautiful mural in West Asheville has long been one of our favorite reminders of that spirit.

She will be deeply missed, but her songs, stories, and unmistakable mountain heart will live on for generations. 🤍

As we continue renovating and breathing new life into these historic cottages, we’re being intentional about keeping the pieces that give this place its character. The old details, the quirks, the little reminders of all the people who stayed here before us. We want The Pines to feel refreshed, never erased.

Another episode of Reno with Alan 🔨🌲 and Cottage One just got a pretty big upgrade.

The bathroom has been fully remodeled, the cottage is refreshed, and she’s officially ready for her next guests. Just in time, because one of our favorite seasons in Asheville is right around the corner. 🍂

We’re soaking up these last few weeks of summer, but we’ve got plenty in store as we head into early fall and leaf season in Western North Carolina.
