The hiker book is a new tradition for us starting this year, and we’ve already had a few flip-floppers sign! Can’t wait to see how many more names end up in that book.

Pair the most affordable bed in Ashland with our new 20% Oregon Shakespeare Festival ticket discount and experience the culture that makes this town famous at a per-person cost that makes the trip possible.

And it's a real discount. OSF prices are fixed and published, the same for everyone, set by theater and seating section. So 20% off is 20% off a real price, not a markup dressed up as a deal. Every guest saves, every time.

For nearly 30 years this hostel has hosted solo travelers and adventurers, plus the school groups, theater groups, family reunions, and church groups who come for the OSF. Now we can help them see more of it for less.

Come find out why PCT hikers have voted Ashland as their favorite resupply stop in Oregon for ten straight years.

I had never even heard of Ashland when I set out to hike the PCT in 2025.

But by the time I rolled into Oregon, absolutely filthy with a torn shirt, ridiculous beard, and with a freshly picked wildflower in my wild hair, it was obvious that Ashland was special.

A walkable vibrant downtown, world class theater, gorgeous parks and public spaces, and a real dining and drinks scene, plus amazing resupply options with everything I needed to survive my final 1,000 miles on the PCT.

I didn’t want to leave. And now I don’t have to.

I’m blessed to call Ashland home now. And also blessed to run the hostel that welcomes hikers, school groups, bicycle mechanics and theater buffs to this incredible mountain town in Southern Oregon.

If you’re hiking in the area this summer, I am personally inviting you to come stay with us at Ashland Commons Hostel.
