Today, we remember Isobel “Goldie” Altis on her birthday. 🎻

Born on October 22, 1894, Goldie was an accomplished violinist who spent the later years of her life at McInteer Villa.

She lived here from 1952 until her death in 1969, leaving her own place in the history of this historic home.

The Gerardy Room honors the family who helped preserve McInteer Villa for future generations.

In 1969, George Lee Gerardy and his wife, Thelma, rescued the mansion from condemnation, restoring its original layout and beginning a new chapter in the Villa’s history.

Today, the space reflects the warmth of a lived-in family home.

As a veteran-owned business, the history of McInteer Villa carries a particular significance for us.

One of the people connected to the home’s history is Charles Donovan, a World War I veteran who lived at the Villa and died here on October 10, 1922.

In his memory, we made a donation to the National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City.

We hope you'll join us in honoring the stories of the people who lived within the walls of the McInteer Villa.

We’re happy to play a part in keeping that history alive.
