Everybody has a different definition of perfect camping weather.

Some want cool mornings and a sweatshirt.

Some want warm afternoons and the windows open.

And some are perfectly happy as long as the A/C doesn't have to run all day.

So where's your sweet spot?

What temperature makes you look outside and think, “Yep. This is camping weather.”?

Day Trip from Amazing Acres RV Park: Clarksville, Texas

Sometimes the best adventures are found in the small towns that have been around longer than most of us can imagine.

If you enjoy history, old buildings, and exploring places with a story to tell, Clarksville, Texas, is worth adding to your day-trip list!

Clarksville is one of the oldest towns in Northeast Texas, with roots reaching back to the days of the Republic of Texas. It's also the final resting place of William Becknell, the pioneer widely known as the Father of the Santa Fe Trail.

Spend an afternoon wandering around the historic downtown square, admiring beautiful old homes, visiting local museums, and discovering a little of the history that helped shape this part of Texas.

You don't always have to travel far to find something interesting. Sometimes a little backroad exploring is all it takes!

Have you visited Clarksville? We'd love to hear what you discovered while you were there.

Those skinny RV gutters don’t need much help getting clogged.

A few leaves and a collection of pine needles can crowd the narrow channels along the roof edge. Check drainage areas and slide toppers regularly, and clear debris before it builds up.

It’s also a good opportunity to inspect sealant around vents, antennas, and other roof openings. Follow your RV manufacturer’s roof-access guidance—don’t assume every roof can be walked on.

Which collects more on your rig: leaves or pine needles?

The Campground Chair Migration
Nobody officially invites anybody over at a campground.
It usually starts with one person walking over to talk.
Then somebody else shows up.
Then someone says, “Hang on, I’ll grab my chair.”
Twenty minutes later there are six chairs in a circle and nobody remembers whose campsite they’re actually sitting at.
That’s how campground neighborhoods are formed.
What’s the biggest group you’ve accidentally ended up with at one campsite?

Then you realize…

You forgot __________.

Every RVer has at least one story.
